Mintu

My first recollection of my childhood is the day my mother brought me to the boys home. I didn't have any idea what was going on as I was just five then.I was so upset that I cried and cried when my mother left me there.
I was soon attracted to the various toys which helped me to forget my mother. There I got to make many friends and there I met my second mother "Fabienne Aunty”. My days were happy ones before I started going to school as I had good friends to play with from morning till evening. We had many indoor games and outdoor games to occupy our time. A found memory was participating in the drama at the boys home. I still remember that we performed in many places and the applause made me feel like a celebrity. I was very much interested in sports and I was given the opportunity to get admitted to a cricket academy because I was good in cricket. I was very happy to go for practicing every Saturday and Sunday. When we had holidays, we went to acquatica, Nicco park, the zoo, the botanical garden, the museum, etc...

I still remember that how much fun we had during these years.

I still remember how Fabienne Aunty helped me while swimming as I couldn't swim. I too had many friends, some are really special to me like Sashi , Sanju, Abhishek, Sanjit etc and many more. They were so good and I didn't feel that they were friends... I felt like my own brothers. I am very lucky to have them in my life.

I didn't have any problem staying there. The staff members too were so close to me and always encouraged me. Now I miss everyone, how we all had fun, passed our time gossiping, eating all together, playing and watching TV together.

After going to the Boarding School in Kurseong I couldn't spend much time there but I miss the boys and the home till now. Staying there, I learned many things like adjusting, sacrificing, compromising, punctuality, value of time and money, patience, winning and losing, not to look down upon others etc. I think if we have all this qualities then we will be a true gentleman.

I want to thank everyone who helped me throughout and had faith in me. A special thanks to Fabienne Fichet, my sponsors who helped me and always encouraged me: Laura Aunty and Jerome Uncle. Thank you for helping and having faith in me and sending those gifts. They were really good and are close to me.

I want to thank Jerome Leriche, Mr Orain and a French company, The Credit Foncier de France who will be helping me for my higher studies.

And a very big thank to aunty Fabienne without whom I couldn't be where I am. You are really a very nice lady who keep on encouraging me and thank u for helping all the boys. I always want to see u smiling and thanks for everything . It was my pleasure to share some memories with you all. Thank you.

And not to forget all the sponsors without them we were nothing. Thanks for helping our organization. Love u all. Thank you.

Merci d'aider notre association. Je vous aime tous. MERCI

Mintu, what a beautiful message you wrote, full of emotion, intelligence, sensibility... I had tears in my eyes, just like that moment I never forgot, when you were 5 years old, walking back to the boys Home after a theater play with the Galopins, you put your small hand in mine... And what you wrote about auntie Fabienne is so nice and true. I wish you to continue good studies and a happy life, which I will follow, like for the other Galopins all my life. Lots of kisses Mintu and thank you for your beautiful text. Monique PS: Beautiful photo!
